I wish I could say I was one of those people that hold onto things until they come back into fashion, but as well as trying to be overly organised I'm also an over zealous declutterer. Luckily for me someone else also is and so I picked up this awesome Gap denim jacket for just a few pounds in the UK last year. I have done a
Take 5 challenge on how to wear it, but in reality needed to wait for the NZ weather to cool off a bit before I could start enjoying it.
What I Wore: Glassons patterned pants (thrifted), House of Fraser nude wedges, Shanton black singlet, Glassons long sleeve merino top (under it all), Cotton On beige/gold scarf (wrapped around with ends tucked in), Dotti star pendant, Gap denim jacket.
I love how a short jacket really puts the focus onto your waist.
I also love these shoes. Not sure how it took me so long to realise the nude shoes go with everything, but now I have I feel like I always have the right shoe (or boot too in my case). They're also a nice height for a dressy look but low enough to be really comfortable.
As you can see I had my hair done yesterday. We went off to a Navy Officers cocktail party last night (very fun but unfortunately I forgot to take any photos) so as well a hair cut (which was way overdue), I got the hairdresser to juz it up a bit for me with a few curls.
Wardrobe Wednesday? What is it? Can you give it a go? I think most of us are busy people, wanting to look our best, looking for inspiration, and living real lives on a budget. Wardrobe Wednesday is a celebration once a week of what we wore and who we are... individuals; young/old, in summer/winter, skinny/fat/tall/short and/or warts and all!
This week's Wardrobe Wednesday Feature, the lady to inspire me and you,
Lindsey from High Heels and Training Wheels. There were a couple of denim jackets featured last week but I just loved how Lindsey paired her's with another trendy item - white jeans - without looking OTT denim!
